Abstract

This paper has described the blank material production and forming process of semi solid metals

and mechnaical properties of components made of semi solid metals and the new progress of the industrial application of semi solid metal forming techniques in some developed countries. The paper has also evaluated the prospect and significance of the industrial application of semi solid metals in the near future in China.
