Research on Nondendritic Semi-Solid AlSi7Mg Alloy Billet Cast Continuously and Its Thixoforging
The nondendritic semi-solid AlSi7Mg alloy billet cast continuously and its thixoforging has been studied systematically in this paper. The results show that the billets of Semi - Solid AlSi7Mg Alloy cast continuously at the rate of 1.5- 3 mm/s can be made under electromagnetic stirring
that the proper reheating temperature of the billets is from 580 ℃to 590 ℃
and that when the die mould temperature is 100 ℃ to 300 ℃ and the pressure is 15 to 25 MPa
the master brake cylinders and scale valves can be thixoforged successfully.
