In situ TiC p/Al 4Cu composite was prepared by reactive synthesis technique. The phase constituent
microstructure and fracture morphology have been observed by means of XRD
SEM. The mechanical property and fluidity of TiC p/Al 4Cu composite was tested. The results showed that the finecircular reinforced particulates in TiC p/Al 4Cu in situ composite distribute hamegeously into the matrix and no reactive layer in the interface surface between reinforced particulate and matrix. The composite has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties under T6 heat treated state. The fluidity of composite increases with the increase of temperature and decreases with the increase of volume fraction of reinforced particulates.
