Abstract

Some advanced casting processes, such as high pressure die magnesium casting and thixocasting, have been widely applied up to recent 10 years. In order to meet the requirements for foundry simulation techlonogy, some new physical modules and database have been added to MAGMA soft, which enable its use more accurate and more convenient. The authors outlines some applications of MAGMAsoft to high pressure die magnesium casting, thixocasting, casting stress and deformation in this paper.
