The self-made hypereutectic Al-30Si alloy is studied in this paper. By means of low superheat pouring low intensity electromagnetism stirring which is a new type of semi-solid slurry preparation
the semi-solid Al-30Si alloy slurry is prepared and the effect of treating parameters on the hardness
wearing performance and thermal stability of samples is studied. The research process is important for this new semi-solid technology to widen the application field and the results can be provided for the deep development of Al-30Si materials.
