Study on Thxio-die-forging of 37%Al/Al2O3 Composite cup shell in Pseudo-semi-solid State
The materials in semi-solid state have thixotropy and good histology
mechanical property is near to the forging.Synthesize the semi-solid metal forming
the powder metallurgy
we propose a new forming method for the metal toughed composite—thixoforming in pseudo-semi-solid state.And we prepared 37vol.%Al/Al2O3 cup shell successfully.We found the three-dimensional network structure in the cup shell by microscopic test.The interfaces bounded closely and distributed homogeneously.By the mechanical test
we found that the bend strength was about 570

90 MPa and the fracture toughness was about 8.5

6.8 MPa·m1/2.It showed that it had high bend strength and fracture toughness.At the same time
we analyzed the influences of technology parameters on the mechanical properties.By the comparison with other technology
the properties of it were higher than others.It was because of its technology characters.
