挤压铸造低体积分数SiCw/Al复合材料的组织与性能

摘要:采用挤压铸造工艺制备了SiCw含量为14%Al基复合材料,并利用金相显微镜、扫描电镜(SEM)、电子万能试验机等手段分析了退火及T6处理工艺对SiCw/Al复合材料组织和性能的影响。结果表明,SiCw/Al复合材料中SiCw分布均匀,无孔洞、气孔等铸造缺陷。热处理可以显著提高材料的抗拉强度,退火和T6处理后SiCw/Al复合材料的抗拉强度分别为321.4 MPa392.7 MPa,相较铸态分别提高了52.9%86.8%。结果表明,挤压铸造工艺可以制备出高强度的低体积分数铝基复合材料。

Microstructure and Properties of SiCw/Al Composites Fabricated by Squeeze Casting Method

Abstract:14% SiCwin volumetric fraction/Al composites were fabricated by squeeze casting method. The effects of aging treatment and annealing treatment on microstructure and properties of 14% SiCw/Al composites were investigated by optical microscopy, SEM and tensile testng. Microstructurd observation reveals that SiC whiskers are distributed uniformly in the composites with absence of casting defects,such as holes and porosities. The tensile strength of the composites can be improved after heat treatment, and the tensile strength reaches 321.4 MPa and 392.7 MPa after annealing treatment and T6 treatment, which are increased by 52.9% and 86.8%, compared with those of the as-cast ones, respectively. A high strength aluminum matrix composites with low reinforcement content can be fabricated by squeeze casting method.
