    • Multi-channel Numerical Simulation and Experimental Investigation of IN718 Alloy

    • Experts have studied the evolution of the melt pool and the influence of scanning spacing on the mechanical properties of IN718 alloy during SLM process through simulation and experimentation. It was found that heat accumulation and thermal conductivity differences are the main causes of asymmetric melt pool shape. Increasing the scanning spacing appropriately can improve the mechanical properties of the alloy.
